Best movie from 2014 in my opinion.

Awesome movie

For a movie based on music it lacked in the audio area. Audio out of sync with the drums etc. Because of that alone it is at best a 7/10 movie. I also expected more at the ending. The acting was pretty awesome though.

Solid film, but pretty formulaic. Good performances and even if it's not doing anything new, it does what it does very well. Not the best of 2014, but a good film.

I agree with the poster above, very well done but nothing that innovative going on. I felt some parts of the writing was pretty lazy like the entire girlfriend episdode but the strong parts of the film make up for it.
Simmons was spectacular and his Oscar was well deserved, I think his performance is mostly what made the film stand out.

Speaking of the Oscars I prefer both Birdman and Boyhood to this even thought it's close.

Watched the trailer... won't even bother watching the movie.

It is personal preference... best example... that so called malicious teacher [instructor] would have had his head ripped off completely from his own body ... you do NOT teach people that way, no matter their age. As I stated at the start of this paragraph... personal preference... and I was literally wanting to climb through the monitor and rip out his throut [sp].

Being abused and making the abuser a hero, is not worth watching... fvcking come at me... been abused and don't give a fuck.
