just noticed this series is on netflix. anyone watch it? is it a cheesey remake of the movie or is it worthwhile?

I tried watching it. It's pretty meh.

It's decent enough. Waiting for the next season.
Not a cheesy remake, just a re-imagining.
Robert Rodriguez is doing good so far.
Some people aren't a fan of the roots based in mesoamerican mythology though because they want it to be exactly like the original movie that it's based upon.
But they fleshed out a lot of the story, gave more substance to the characters and expanded the universe much more than the movie ever was.

It airs on the el ray network as well as netflix.

I found the cast and story enjoyable.

Doubt the show will survive another season though. Escalation of the show is impossible to keep up.

show was decent till it went to the titty bar shit became cheesy and trashy real quick
