those were the days

i remember when the channel didn't have to abbreviate themselves

Used to be a really good channel. They'd also show a lot of great movies. Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Terminator, etc. all used to play frequently.

The History Channel also went to shit. Used to have a lot of great documentaries. Everything from weapons of WWII to Roman architecture to historical facts vs. Hollywood movies.

Now, it's all reality t.v. and conspiracy bullshit.

They said they're going to do less reality tv and less b movie and go back to their roots. We'll see. Ascension will be a great start if they give it's own series run instead of just having a 3 episode miniseries.

ya they got that "hunters" show comin up in the next year or two as well... they know they're failing hard but they just keep coming out with new stupid ghost shows



not true at all the people watching science fiction have never had any interest in pop
your obv a child so you dont realise but theres always some child pop idols no matter what generation your in
stargate made this channel and was their bread and butter until a year or two ago it's all about money

i grew up with scifi and was into pop (backstreet boys, nsync, and yes even spice girls)

im not talking about child idols

hilary duff, demi levito, lord, w/e else that's popular right now i have no problem with, i know each generation of music changes and will not be to my taste

my point is the trash that ppl seem to cant help but gravitate towards like my previous list: justin bieber, ##### #####, honey boo boo

and other shit as well such as duck dynasty and ancient aliens

although most of them are of the new generation, there ppl from all age groups are being drawn towards this garbage( 20 and 30 year old who are into ##### #####, i see them all over the place, dunno if they're pedos or just have bad taste)

which means as a channel they had to capture the new trend and thus started pumping out garbage as well

a couple of my friends (older than me) think ancient aliens is a documentary and try to convince me that it's real

they're not the brightest bunch, but they're part of the demographic that im ranting about

the teenagers as i described who self diagnose themselves with adhd, and the not so clever ppl of all ages who are easily manipulated
