So as most of you guys know I watch A lot of movies.. like a ridiculous amount so much so that sometimes I even say to myself jesus fuck kris seriously you need a life, but throughout my years of experiencing the joys of movies I have a dirty and dark secret that I must let out

I have never once watched any of the lord of the rings movies or the hobbit films

I watched one of the lord of the rings movies. That was more than enough to realize i did not want to see any more.

You only really have to watch the first LotR movie to decide if they are worthwhile or not, avoid the Hobbit at all cost as they are absolute garbage.

Just curious, how many movies do you watch a month on average?

LOTR movies are so much better than the Hobbit movies.


Hobbit movies were a great show piece of CGI, and audio/video special effects (e.g. the 48 fps playback) but other than that pretty mediocre.

LoTR has some really nice scenery and scenes in it. First 2 are good to really good in my opinion, last one is just ok, some of it just didn't quite hit the mark for me, for example the ending with all the bad acted joy, goodbyes etc etc. Just watch 10% of the first one, that is like 15 to 20 minutes and then decide if you want to spend the 8-9 hours watching the rest.

that all depends on the given month and how busy I am these last few months I've been slacking A lot so much so that i only just watched rise of the planet of the apes and sin city
but generally i will do about 12-25 movies a month.

depending on my show load I watch most of the "go to" television series as well but thankfully they've mostly come to a mid season break so I have some much needed catch up time on movies

I just finished sopranos in 4 weeks so that should tell you how much i watch 6 seasons about 51 mins a piece 13 episodes each season up until the last thats 21

You should watch LOTR, I would recommend avoiding the steaming pile of garbage that is the Hobbit trilogy.

Standard hollywood blockbuster type shit. Not missing out on much. Just try to not watch the extended versions, I did that a while ago and they're just way too fucking long for how boring they are.
