I really enjoy them both but i prefer The Originals. Klaus and Mikael are ace

i got annoyed by the originals. in vampire diaries, the originals were unstoppable killing machines. if klaus or elijah wanted to take over a city, it'd be done in a single day. in the originals, they're weak as fuck. the power inflation/escalation reminds me too much of dbz

In vampire diaries, they never had to deal with that many witches and if you remember, towards the end of their appearance on the vampire diaries, they were getting bested left and right. Witches have always had an upper hand on vampires, even the originals.

i stopped watching VD consistently after a while. last episode was elijah breaking his promise. after that it was just a few scattered episodes. niklaus creating hybrids, nina playing multiple parts, some stuff in college. i liked damon when the show first started, but stopped liking him after a while

VD has gotten slow and boring episodes for the past while have been hit and miss

i find myself just watching vd these days but originals I'm excited to get home and watch.

One does not simply choose The Originals over The Vampire Diaries.

I could be biased since I've watched TVD honestly more than 30 times.

I think VD is funnier, story wise The Originals is better to me

Yes, werewolves can reproduce, whilst vampires cannot. Before the ritual Klaus's inner werewolf was repressed due to a spell cast by his mother, after the ritual he became the true hybrid and so he was able to reproduce, thanks to his werewolf side being activated once more.
