requiem for a dream is probably the most depressing story you will ever see, it has strong inflictions of romance in it, making it both sad and inspiring at the same time.
leaving las vegas - even more depressing since the story is more common, also a truly great movie (even though alot of ppl hate nicolas cage, i believe this is one of his greatest performances) also a kickass movie.

Am I the only person who was completely unaffected by Requiem for a Dream? Not only have I never felt so detached from the main characters of a film in my life, but they were all junkies anyways. Like, at the end of the movie I didn't just not feel bad, but I shrugged and thought to myself "welp, kinda got what was coming to them. stupid druggies."
