The only parts I remember are where a latino cop is a junkie and he is in a hotel room. His dealer(?) or some other junkie gets killed during a deal and he calls his (white) partner (cop) to bail him out. They end up putting the dead guy on a stretcher in the middle of the projects to hide what really happens. In the ambulance I THINK the latino cop ends up jumping out of the back of the ambulance and ends up ODing a little time later.

I would guess early - mid 2000s is when it was made.

I am about 80% sure the latino cop was John Leguizamo.

It's American Gangster and it's with Russel Crowe and his partner, I believe the partner is Italian but I'm not sure.


From movie synopsis.

"It switches back to Richie who gets a phone call in the middle of the night from his partner who is flipping out because he killed a guy. They bandage the dead guy's neck to make it look like he isn't dead. Richie tells his partner that he needs help because he is hooked and that is why he killed the guy in the first place. His partner gets mad and jumps out of the ambulance. His partner says that it was Richie's fault to begin with, because he takes drugs to forget that everybody at the police station sneers at him."


Horribly written synopsis lol but that should ring a bell.
