Why wouldn't when the General came down in his ship and broadcasted "you are not alone" over the media - with their technology abilities why not simply use our satellite tv's?

Why did Lois have to go up with Superman on the ship?


Why didn't he use more superpowers than just laser eyes?


As for all of the latest super hero movies (Ironman, Captain America, Batman and Superman) the Man Of Steel was a let down....

How come people don't seem to understand what superman is?

It was a good superman movie, get over it. Also this thread shouldn't have been made again.

My problem with superman is that during his training in his ice fortress, he's supposed to have had the cumulative knowledge of a multitude of worlds.

You can't just be that smart and know that much shit and then not use your fucking powers properly. It doesn't matter how much of a role model, good guy you wanna be. You got super speed, super sight, super hearing, ice breath, laser eyes and super strength. EVERY FUCKING TIME you head towards a situation, you should have plenty of time to assess the threat level and figure out a smart plan to neutralize it without compromising yourself or other people.

Like when a bad guy has kryptonite. I mean come the fuck on, you're superman. You saw that kryptonite 800 miles away. Could even laser it the fuck off from all the way over there. GG bad guys. And those stupid glasses and the hair flip. dlhgbdfkgsdfgdfg

I love superheroes, but holy shit superman is just annoying. I've seen all the JL cartoons too. They're awesome, but the number of times things coulda gone smoother if superman actually had half a brain. Put bruce wayne's brain in superman's head. Holy ultimate superhero.

Man of Steel was decent, they named it correctly... he was NOT superman yet.

It amazes me how people get hooked into the "it's a Superman Hero MOVIE woot woot etc"

Only thing that I did not really like... Louis Lane knowing that Clarke Kent was Superman and the cheesy comment: "Welcome to the Planet" [omfg... no pun intended... really... was that sarcasm? HELL YEAH]

Well that's the thing. They gave superman all these powers, so the only bad guys he can fight in an entertaining manner are just as overpowered and there aren't THAT many.

That's why I think Superman as a character is kinda boring.


Movie was fun tho. Good portrayal of an annoyingly stupid character.

Which is the problem with such a godlike character, people complain when he doesn't use his full potential and then complain when it's boring because there's no depth to him except being OP.

Meh I don't really like superman much, mostly because every single writer who does him makes him like 10000x stronger than the previous one.

"faster than a locomotive"
"faster than a speeding bullet"
"can travel 7x the speed of light"

etc.

But I did enjoy them trying to show the "man" side of superman in the movie. The doubt and fear etc.
