Anyone seen it before, thoughts on it? Was recommended to me as one of the more realistic war movies, and I have been looking for decent films about the eastern front a la Cross of Iron.

It's pretty good. bit longer than it needs to be, but not to an irritable extent. definetely worth watching.


Not about the eastern front, but if you're interested in eastern european/russian cinema, I highly recommend Battleship Potemkin.

cool cool, I think I actually have Potemkin somewhere in my stacks of dvds i've yet to watch!
