So, I work with kids.

I'm looking for movies that would inspire discussion.

Ages are between 12-18. Recommendations don't have to apply to all ages. Like a rec can be for +15. Nothing too gruesome or too complicated though.

Some of the stuff I already got listed:

* Precious
* La Haine
* La Promesse
* L'Enfant
* Boys Don't Cry
* Ben X
* The Believer
* Entre Les Murs

Needs lots more.

Thanks

What exactly do you mean by "inspire discussion"? What type of discussion? Any movie can be talked about...

Nah, social worker. Work in an institution for kids atm. Literal translation would be a 'welcoming, observation and orientation centre'. Basically, kids with all kinds of social problems (skipping school to neglect to abuse and worse...) whose home environment is deemed unsafe are temporarily placed with us (4 months max). Kids and parents are counsiled and observed, after a couple of months we make an assesment of the situation and recommend a certain kind of action.

Also, no 18+ stuff. Already taken some movies of the list after discussion with collegues (for instance Boys Don't Cry and 4 Luni, 3 Saptamâni si 2 Zile). Anyone know some movies about gender-identity that don't have too explicit scenes?

A short stay in Switzerland might be good though.
