Been getting into Chuck lately but it's starting to feel repetitive. Chuck, himself, is seeming more and more like a tool with each passing episode (currently at S2E17). Does the series ever stop dragging its feet? Does Chuck ever stop being a schmuck?

Alright show when nothing better is on, but if you watch this show expecting something new or exiting you might as well stop watching.

It's not so much that I'm looking for something new, *BEGIN SPOILER?* it's just that the relationship between Chuck and Sarah is a tease and nothing more (at least thus far). Chuck gets fed up with a fake relationship, they fake break-up, some suave guy comes in and Chuck gets jealous, suave guy leaves and now they are back together again but Sarah still acts "strictly professional." This happened in the first season, now it's happening, almost verbatim, this season; Can I expect the same sub-plot in every season? *END SPOILER*

Suave guy has a hell of a sub plot attached to him.
The relationship between chuck and sarah is solidified, however complications do arise.

I don't know about that...I never heard them say that they were both cover-dating and dating for real. It has also never been implied that they've slept together like most other couples in the series (Elle/Awesome, Big Mike/Morg's mom, Morg/Anna, etc.). As far as I can tell, it's just bottled up feelings that only have a drop leak out once every 2-3 episodes.

Take it from someone who saw the entire show twice; the relationship more than solidifies.
