I really want to see movies based around Morgoth, Glaurung, Gothmog (Lord of Balrogs). After watching Desolation of Smaug I have so many questions unanswered.

I want them to make another 3 movies after these ones that focus on when the ring was first made.

ehhh, maybe one movie on the creation and 2 on the war and then destruction.

Would be interesting indeed. But I doint think books exist about that time.
But still, they'd make money off the movies, if they made them. Although I think, they'll need to ask permission 1st

There aren't really books but there is A LOT of "lore" so to speak to sponge off of, like the ENTIRE timeline of middle earth is basically laid out.

the hobbit #2 .... way better then #1.

I think the hobbit is better than lotr, and part two "desolation of smaug" being the stand out movie in the entire canon. I hope the trend continues.

Return of the King extended edition (the like 4 hour long one) in my opinion is by far the best of the Tolkien universe movies.
