The show is loosely based on the 1988 post-apocalyptic fiction novel written by William Brinkley, having read the novel, it's going to be interesting to see how it plays out on tv. The novel is about nuclear warfare where as the show will be about a pandemic.

Looks like a cross between dollhouse and unknown. Where he has the abilities of the dolls in dollhouse to become anyone, but he's got the mental issues from unknown.

Last ship looks like it would make a better movie than tv show. Has a strong story base, but an entire season of a doctor in a ship making a cure? Don't know how that will work out.

If all they focused on was the cure, you'd have a point. But keep in mind there's an entire world there. They have a crew and other survivors to create many opportunities for drama.
Plus a new united states, that's going to be interesting to see what the US turns into after an apocalyptic event that decimates the majority of the population.

I like rhona, and i hope adam baldwin gets a bigger role than the trailer leads me to believe. esp since he's XO. im a bit worried since i saw michael bay's name in there somewhere.

i hope legends is better than dollhouse. i liked the premise but i thought the story could have been better.

It seems like they want to focus on the boat rather than rebuilding etc. There are already a lot of rebuilding shows or there which are fairly good that got canceled fairly quickly.
