So I just ordered a new Smart TV and was looking to subscribe to a solid streaming service. Here are the most important things for me:

1. HD video, 1080p preferred (the TV is 1080p and I want to make use of it)
2. Large TV show library (don't care nearly as much about the movie library, lots of TV shows is what I would prefer)
3. Subtitles/captions

Would really appreciate any advice, thanks!

Netflix keeps getting more and more epic as time passes...I'd go with that...

Netflix is pretty awesome, they are extremely limited in a couple categories but they have been attempting to improve everywhere. Only thing that really bugs me about netflix is not being able to clear my shows.

It's irritating that if I watch a show and 3 months later I decide to watch it again, every single episode starts at the end of the episode. Shit is beyond annoying lol

im more annoyed by their video management. i mean seriously, if i have the movie in my queue already or i saw it already, then quit fucking recommending it. they used to have a nice "expiring soon" feature which was terrific for finding new movies, but now that's gone too

Hulu has a bigger variety of TV shows. Netflix is more movies.

My family had both Hulu and Netflix and we used them in tandem for a long time. They both had their advantages but eventually we canceled Hulu and now just use Netflix. Between the commercials and the shitty interface, it just became too annoying to get to the Hulu content, even though there were specific things we liked on it. Netflix is a straightforward smooth ride and offers more good content than we have time to watch.
