Went to theater yesterday
Debated going for carrie but seeing as it was a remake I was kind of hesitating

Did not go for it, no spoilers if anything different from the original version please
Cancelled my vote in order to have the poll at its most efficient point

Originals are always better but from I've heard this remake actual did justice for once.

Chloë Grace Moretz is underrated. I actually think she's a pretty decent actress for her age and I'm looking forward to seeing her play Carrie. As for which is the better version, who knows.

the original carrie had a great lead, who felt weak and helpless.

remake has a great lead, but she never feel weak and helpless

Is the remake anyhow scarier tho?

I would call it even but cant vote for a draw so with 51% original prevailed.

not as good as the first, less a story of uncontrolled power and more about petty revenge especially at the end, didn't really fit

Dang... now even reading that... I do NOT want to watch the remake.

Original... young girl with unexplained gifts tormented by the "God ridden mother" and her beliefs in Angels and Devil worship that was misinterpreted in that time controlling her daughter
with punishment that would jail us to this day... control, controversy, trying to understand right & wong based on the concepts of our upbringing (and in some cases, the so called right, can
be construed as wrong etc)... and of course Science etc.

If they took all that out of the remake, then they have ruined the movie... but then... remaking a movie when your culture has been cultivated by advance, can not understand the reasoning of the
past that was lived to give them freedom... rambling from an old timer.

Sissy Spaceck (sp) was great for her time and acting in the original... as for the American hype of the Jocks roll etc... is still portrayed in every USA movie bought out to this day.... it is old, and
I am guessing that the remake still incorporates this stereotype in the movie, but, decided to make the girl stronger and more defiant... when in truth... alot of fear in a person upbringing can
be crucial to the main plot of the story.

sorry.. i am rambling again... have not see it, and from what has been posted, don't want to... but then my 16 year old daughter will want to watch it...

The original was great just watched it. Im assuming the new one just has more cgi and dont worry about story lines.
