Was thinking it would be neat to gather up the most popular shows every new season that people like and maybe making a guide of when they air. Also getting it stickied and updated once in a while. So if someone wants to find something to watch they can look at the thread and see oh supernatural is on season 9 and airs tuesdays or whatever. Maybe have a thread like this where people post everything they like that is currently airing then have a mod post + lock the "jsp tv guide"

imo, make a sticky called "Popular TV Show discussion threads"

then inside the thread are links to each show's official discussion thread, listed alphabetically

List shiws by the day of the week and have a link to their official chat topic then.

we don't need one cause we have people across the world that post here the list would be retardedly long.

either use ur streaming sites weekly lineup cause they have literally every show that airs that week or use tv guides web site thats kinda why it exists.

Its am argument, because it is not a fact. If it were a fact this entire subforum would not exist because "why bother if there will be hundreds of people talking about thousands of shows" or at the very least it would be split up even more into tv regions..but wait there are the most popular shows?? and this subforum doesn't see that much traffic??? No kidden eh?

You mean having a thread where people who want to talk about a show can easily find the shows popular discussion post or someone who wants to find new popular shows to watch is a bad idea?

I agree that making a list to help people find shows instead of everyone making threads is a good idea. However, there's no reason for current airing information to be included.

Many of the shows that we would want on the list either have already completed (like The Wire, Breaking Bad) or out of season (Game of Thrones). Even for shows that are currently airing, many people are just using Netflix, Hulu or "downloads" to access the show anyway. If someone wants to go find out what day it airs in their country, they can easily find that on their own. The list shouldn't have a US bias.

What the list needs to be helpful is information about the content of the show. A link to the IMDB or Wiki would be helpful, although probably trivial since the person can get there in 2 seconds by himself. Maybe we could find something meaningful to add, like a brief summary paragraph or a link to a good article about it.
