Don't just start with Caprica.
If you're going to get into this universe, start with BSG.

Also, I second Jericho.

Monk (another USA comedy/crime/drama show, it's over so you don't have to worry about catching new episodes)

IDK about that. I watched BSG first, as the creators intended it to be done. But after starting Caprica I found myself wishing I had done it the other way around.

I don't know if they're on Netflix, however, I would suggest Homeland, The Americans and Hannibal.

I actually haven't seen Caprica yet xD
I just know it was meant to come after BSG, will get to it eventually, I think
