Wtf is this shit. Season was pretty meh, they stopped at 10 episodes instead of 12. Pretty bad finale too. I look into the air dates for next season; June 2014. That's basically an entire year from now.

I have time to forget about the show, see the entire show again, forget about it again, remember the show and forget it again. What the hell?

It's usually a year between seasons for any drama show, IDK what you're complaining about.

After the second episode this season, I just stopped watching. At that point I was like "why the fuck am I still watching this show?" I guess it got to the point that the dialogue and plot structure was so bad, it made me gag. I really enjoyed the first season, kinda enjoyed the second season, and after that I told myself the show was "entertaining", or a "guilty pleasure". It wasn't until S6E2 where I realized that I don't even give a shit about the characters or what's going on any more... the "pleasure" aspect of it was completely absent. So yeah, I haven't seen this season past episode 2, but I'm not surprised at all at you saying it was disappointing.

Anyway, that's just me.

That's pretty much how it is for all these premium tv shows. It's the same for Game of Thrones, Dexter, I believe Spartacus as well before it ended. I just fill the time in with other shows like BB and suits.

I liked this season of True Blood though. And they switched things up a lot with the finale so I'm looking forward to a lot less side storylines.

Hour long shows normally take a year. Man I remember the agonizing wait for The Sopranos which was more than a year in between because contract negotiations with the main cast would go on for months.

The first season is still the best, imo too. It's very easy, I think, for dramas like these to de-rail out of focus, especially once characters and settings have been established and the writers need to crank up the "drama" factor to keep things "interesting." Season six of TB for me has been way more blahs than yays, but I still think it is an improvement on Season 5 (even if I no longer empathize at all with Sookie or other past fan favorites...but maybe that's the writers' point?). Just hope Pam and Eric make it to next season "alive" (not just in Jason or someone's dreams/fantasies)!
