Wasnt as good as I hoped it would be. I wanted a massive army vs zombie battle and there was none to be had. Pretty much every cool shot was in the trailer. Good movie but could have been great and wasnt. 7/10

Best movie so far this summer has been "this is the end."

1. How is the movie 7/10? Based on my judgement, rarely is any movie that goes the opposite direction of the book any good.
2. This is the End is purely comedic, can't be put it 'best' category (at least for me).
3. There has been no clear front runner as 'best' movie this summer.

1) I read the book and it should be obvious that it would make a horrible movie. Movie audiences dont want to see a cluster fuck of testimonies that dont tie into a central plot. The movie had to go in its own direction or it would have never been made. Movies need a movie star, a protagonist to root for and follow throughout the film.

2) and 3) Yes it is a comedy and it delivered big time in making me laugh. WWZ and superman were good stories but never captivated me or had me emotionally invested in the way those types of movies should have.

That has everything to do with rating it that high, regardless of the direction the movie chose to approach; to even use the same name is a failure with Hollywood, not that it hasn't happened before.

Thats just stupid. Movies never replicate books and people who read books before seeing the movie almost always say the book was better. Learn to just relax and enjoy.
