if i stream a show or movie on my laptop and want to watch it on my big screen, and have the appropriate cable, would it be laggy on my tv because it is a stream and not a download?
thanks in advance for help.

if you let the stream load, then it wont be so bad.

one of the main reasons i got the laptop i have now is for the hdmi port to use the streaming capabilities on my tv than use laptop/tv as duel monitors so i can nerd out on here and elsewhere well watching shows and movies
no it doesn't lag if it does its something your doing or you don't have enough penitence to wait for the stream to load.
now saying that if your streaming from justintv or the other one thats like jtv it could be the actual streamer hasn't setup his end properly.
/e but than you could just ask everyone in chat if theirs is also laggy.
