So i was recommended this by a friend saying it was amazing and years ahead of its time.
he is a movie buff and hasnt lead me wrong before but im like 15 minutes into the first episode and can hardly stomach the acting
i realize its a 90's cable sitcom but i cant even begin to get into the story.

is the greatness in this show purely in the script and the acting is just looked over?
would really like to dive into it =/

Well I think the story is decent but then again I don't have a hugh problem with the acting. I Think it's a really fun series to watch and I've never seen anything like it with this weird atmosphere. The whole town is just.. Really weird.

For television at the time the plot lines and imagery was unheard of. Most of the acting is a parody/satire of soap opera drama. The surreal nature of the show is phenomenal, Lynch is an amazing director. Some of the scenes in that show are out of this world literally and metaphorically
