For me, out of the hours upon hours of television I've watched these three truly mesmerized me. I'll never forget how I dismissed The Wire before seeing enough of it, and how I spouted off to my friend about how The Sopranos was the best show ever. The only thing he said to me was: keep watching, and you'll understand. Sure enough, after getting to season 3 I was hooked, and by season 4 I couldn't honestly say I had seen a better season of television.

Which of these is your favorite? Why?

Sopranos is a classic, great TV show, never seen the Wire, Breaking bad is entertaining but until I see more season I wouldn't consider it one of the best.

The Wire for sure.
It's not like normal television where each episode is judged on it's own. It truly is like a novel-where by the end of the book everything comes together and leaves you realing.
After finishing it I find it hard to watch any other show.

I'm on season 5 of the Wire right now, so my judgement is helli biased since the Sopranos isn't as fresh in my mind, but I'd say they're damn close for different reasons. The acting in the Sopranos is outstanding, but the story and outrageously huge cast of the Wire are also captivating.

All in all though (again, probably partially due to bias), I'd say The Wire is my favorite. The Wire just has so much depth and realism; the Sopranos is no doubt an amazing story, but that's all it really is.

I haven't seen The Sopranos.

As much as I'm into Breaking Bad I don't think any show will top The Wire for me.

I heard if you like the sopranos, u'll love the wire and vice versa. ^^
