Just wanted to share that I have finally caught up to season 5 and must say that the writing and acting are ferocious! Usually, by the fifth, sometimes sooner than that, season, the writing begins to unravel and/or the actors look as if they are not giving the characters the spirit that they once had. But, sheesh! This fifth season is freaking intense. Good writing. Good acting.

The show has been running on fumes the past couple of seasons. It feels like S5 only exists to set up the next soulless and uninspired Amazon production, Vought Rising.

Hoping the entire cast dies along with Homelander in the series finale in something epic and brutal. Obviously won't happen, so hopefully it's at least somewhat satisfying.

I think that we may see that. It feels as if the characters have been silently saying their goodbyes. I thought that it would be a predictable Frenchie seeing Kimiko go first. So, the last episode(s) may be surprising, yet with a lot of loss.
