I think one of my favorite horror movies is Midsommer! It's folk horror! The majority of it is shot in broad daylight! Check it out if you haven't already seen it!

I saw the first Leprechaun when I was 5 years old and I thought he was under my bed until I was like 9. Rewatched the whole series recently and it's HILARIOUS. If you're into old outdated horror films, they're worth the watch.

I don't really get affected by jump scares, so in terms of "scary" movies to recommend, I'd lean more towards things like Saw. I like gore a lot.
