These directors are so clueless....

Literally make a batman detective show with the source material and you will have your true detective season 1 masterpiece.

Batman isn’t interesting enough as a character to be the centerpiece of anything as good as true detective

Which is not to say I wouldn’t want that kind of show, but its peak is probably something of similar quality to ‘the Batman’
