I don't remember if i asked this about a month ago... But what did you guys think of the new star wars movies? Love me daddy or world class sci-fi action? I'm a bit stuck in the middle. It wasn't half bad, had some funny moments. And acting wasn't too cheesy. I think they passed the test. But i would not classify it as masterpieces. Only seen them once for now.
Kylo Ren: Well i think that the acting is not world class. But like many of the characters in these three movies, he does mature abit through them. So i can see that change, from being a very stale and moderate image, from being more human and depth-y towards the end. And is the name really Star Wars-y enough? What happened to the Darth-nameline? Maybe i'm missing something.
Rey: Once again, i would say a bit average, and not much maturing going on... the same warrior-type personalty through all three movies. Would like to see a bit more depth, but i can also see that it is meant to be the same steady "force" (no pun lol) through them. There is a lot of actors that needs balancing and having someone stick out too much, lowers the presence of the others.
The force awakens: I could not get myself to like the two new main heroes, Finn and Poe... too subtle and that

look on the face through the entire movie. Still had some okay action, and the camerawork isn't bad, not too many shaky camera moments or fast sequencing. Though it still has some of it. I would give it a 5 out of 10.
The last Jedi: Once again there is a bit of steady camerawork, it is absolutely watchable. One character i feel drags it down a bit, though a minor role, is the character Rose. The acting is so flat. That maybe purposeful, or not. The last battle here with Skywalker is quite epic though, and a huge plus. Drags the movie up to a 6 out of 10 for me.
The rise of Skywalker: Hard to say anything different than before. I would say that all three movies follow the pattern of the first early years released movies; Lots of constant shooting and fast sequencing, and then many calm talking sequences. I guess they had to follow some kind of structure with these long movies. One thing more is that the two main characters from The force awakens, does mature a little bit and has a bit more depth to their acting in this movie. The end battle was actually a bit disappointing for me, a bit drawn out and well, to be honest, not enough epic battles with those last humongous fleets from both sides. That drags it down a bit for me. I think i have to land on a 5 out of 10 on this.
