God people like that are the fucking worst…. I had one of those at this warehouse gig I worked over a decade ago. Guy ran his mouth about literally every game and how he was the best. He overheard me and a friend talking about Smash 64 one day and not only did he have to brag about how godly he was, but how we were obviously trash who didn’t know anything about it. Ended up where I got him to challenge me and it was going to be $20 a game. Three other guys at work also believed they were good (not nearly as arrogant as this fuck though), wanted to play as well, so we had a good little pool going. We did 1v1s and he wanted to play me first, the closest he got to me in a 10 stock was me still having 7 lives lol. The others never got me down lower than 9. Made almost $200 that night cause the guy wouldn’t give up.

Even worse, I’m not even great at Smash or anything, I main Samus for fucks sake. Fighting games have never been my thing.

It's really funny how easy you can trash people at games like smash just by knowing a few basics. The skill differences available in that game are kind of insane and not really comparable to any other competitive game.

Like yeah sure a pro player will destroy any casual player in anything, but if you aren't a pro and want to feel like one just challenge an idiot to smash.

That’s the difference from a pretty good gamer and a bad gamer. One knows exactly how far away he is from the top, the bad one has consistently beaten the only three people he’s played with and thinks he’s a god

I fucking loved Smash 64 and trashed on my friends a couple very small local tourneys, but I also watched enough competitive play to know that outside my small little Washingtonian town, I wasn’t fucking shit.

E: Same guy also thought he was a god at Call of Duty. When I finally agreed to play with him, I found out he played only pubs, only with a full party and 9/10 games he and one other person would sit in a room with two claymores each and shotguns. Even doing that, he still only had a 1.2 KD . Shit cracks me the fuck up to this day

The studio REALLY wanted to do a new Matrix movie for reasons *cough* $$$$$ *cough*, but since the main protagonist and antagonist were dead, the story was finished and NO ONE was asking for this, their only hope was to cater to people's sense of nostalgia. While they could have tried to do something original, like the aforementioned machine war in the video I posted, they decided to repackage the 1st Matrix film in a much uglier box. A big part of the first film (all the films) was Smith, so they knew he HAD to come back. Did that matter if it detracted from the terrible story they were trying to tell? Nope, not one bit, because NOSTAGLIA BABY!!!!

So, there you go. He was brought back because it's a shameless cash grab playing on people's nostalgia, which is why half the fucking movie was literally clips of the other fucking movies.
