I also read that this follows a alternate time and that it doesn't have to be canon so Snyder can do whatever he likes

multiple worlds isn't unheard of in the MCU
not everything will follow the comics

The whole point of Lex Jr is to make Lexcorp look better after Lex fakes his death. Once again, Lex Jr had slightly different mannerisms, not an entirely different persona. If the justification behind the character is that it's okay because it's Lex Jr, that's just wrong, it's still nothing like the character and it makes even less sense that they didn't kill off Lex at some point. I'm fine with them changing the source material, it's just not close to any portrayal of Lex whether it be his cloned younger self or not. Just adds to the muddy-mess that is this movie's plot already.

Afleck is by far the best Batman we have ever had (as I thought he would be).

This movie was dark knight returns part 2 mixed with justice league war.

I am a little disappointed that they did doomsday so early, doomsday is supposed to be around when Superman is a bit older, it makes the fight and his death a lot sadder. But for what they did, they did it well at the very least.

Wonder woman was fucking awesome, they did her perfectly.

Still not sold on the actors for flash or aquaman, bit we didn't see enough for me to not be open to the idea.

The cyborg cameo was amazing, the best of the cameos for sure.

The guy playing lex played the shit out of that part, best performance of his career. I'm not a fan of where the writers and director took the character, but the actor did a fantastic job doing what he was supposed to do.

Apparently. Misread what you wrote, that one is on me. It's late, my bad.

I still think it's idiotic to start a universe after the death of Superman's archrival without even going into it.... How do you kill off a character's most iconic villain with no explanation?

DC just fails miserably at storytelling. They haven't made an above average movie since 2008 and that's only because Nolan is one of the best directors of our generation. Even though he did drop the ball a little with Rises. I just don't get why no one is bothered by a scattered, inconsistent and just a bland plot.
