Another solid episode tonight, we are really getting into the meat of the season.

positives:
I like the way they are cutting and moving things around to keep the story on point without having to do too much explaining.
Rolling in the roles of Patchface and Davos' reading instructor into Shireen was a good strategy.
They are really getting the most bang for their buck out of Loras.

negatives:
Jaime's dialogue telling the story of the kingslaying really annoyed me. He was practically whispering and his face was partially covered so the viewer didn't get good facial expressions to accompany the story. His storytelling process was important and didn't get the emphasis it deserved.
The Jon/Ygritte scenario felt really rushed. They made it seem like he was doing it only cuz he had to, not that his body was really responding to the temptation as well.

On the contrary, Jamie's bath tub scene was my favourite. I thought it was just as powerful as it was in the book. Recall that he was drugged and delirious, and couldn't believe the words were coming out of his mouth. So of course he couldn't deliver it with such poise and clarity as an orator.

It seems like they're cutting out Edric Storm and his story, and replacing it with Shireen. They did make a point of emphasizing that she has king's blood. And "Edric" was the name of one of the failed children in the tubes.

I found Petyr and Sansa's conversation pretty interesting. When Sansa was telling him about how she should stay because she's concerned for his welfare, he knew she was lying. And you could see it in his eyes that he was thinking "are you seriously trying to manipulate me you stupid bitch? Do you know who I am?" Well he got her back. But, of course, he's serving his own interest, not the Lannisters', by manoeuvring Sansa's desire towards being spirited away by him. There goes Mayor Carcetti again, promising one thing and giving another.

Davos+Shireen is so damn adorable. And Davos already is my fav character in the series, glad to see him get some exposure this way. Jon+Ygritte was mostly fan service. Nikolaj was stellar again, this show is really showing some top class actors. Bathtub scene was incredible.

I dont want to sound rude nor offend anyone's feeling, but this 3rd season has been a bit boring. I loved the 1st season, it was awesome and great, my second favorite season (of any series) after Spartacus's 1st season (best season of any series I have ever seen).

GoT 2nd season was nice too, but not as great as the first one, and this 3rd season has been a bit boring to be honest. Hopefully it gets better in the last 5 episodes.

I havent read the books and wont either, so please dont tell me any spoilers. I REALLY REALLY hope the 6th episode gets better otherwise ill just stop watching and wait until after the 10th episode to watch all the remaining episodes together on CD or something.

Wow tbh I thought this season has been the best so far.

Spoilers ahead...

The fact that the greatest swordsman in all of westeros lost his hand... theon getting played via mind games... Dondarion vs. Clegane, etc.. it's not supposed to be just action but I feel like the action and storyline has been great.

Anyone know where the hell Khaleesi's Blood riders are though? I read the books a while back so I could be mistaken but I thought she had Jorah, Selmy, Strong Belwas, Grey Worm, and her 3 bloodriders at her side all the time. I can't even remember the last time I saw one of her bloodriders in the show.

Her bloodriders are missing and so are her 2 handmaids (minus the 1 the show had her leave in the Qarth vault). I assume they are still in her entourage though and will reappear later when needed. I think this is just a matter of saving actor screen time. The role of 'assisting her' has been left to Selmy, Jorah and Missandei. I think this is because they needed to get viewers used to those 2 new people being around her and obviously Jorah is too important to leave out.

They are doing the same thing with Tommen - he hasn't appeared yet obviously he's still around and will show up when it's time.

Regarding Dany's handmaidens, Irri is murdered in Qarth when her dragons are stolen, Jhiqui has only been seen in one episode in the entire tv show so far and Doreah was the one locked up in the Qarth vault. Regarding the bloodriders, Aggo is played by an extra in S2 and hasn't really been significant yet, Rakharo is killed in the Red Waste when he was scouting, Kovarro has been shown during S2 regularly and will probably get more screen time in S3.
