I've always assumed that the NK is as old as time itself, and while it's possible I guess that Bran is too, I think the NK came before people did.
Brief history: CotF were in Westeros first. Then the 1st men came and started a war. CotF created NK (and therefore other WWs) as a reaction to the conflict. All 3 species have existed ever since.
Because the 3ER exists outside the linear construct of time (lame mechanic for scfi-fi/fantasy shit I know) it's possible that whatever entity was created when the CotF made the NK is the same entity that Bran became when he assimilated with the 3ER. Basically, everything makes so little sense that even the vaguest whisper of a hint turns into a theory (because anything is possible).
Also, think about this theory from a storytelling perspective. Episode 1, Jaime pushes Bran out the window. At that time, the audience is made to feel negatively towards Jaime and sympathetic towards Bran. 7 seasons later, our feelings towards Jaime have shifted dramatically (some theories even have him as the final hero of the story). If Bran were to end up being the main villain, it would the perfect irony of us being able to look back and think "damn if only Jaime had killed Bran right then!". That's exactly the kind of stuff that GRRM likes to pull, so the theory is consistent with the narrative structure.
Btw, not saying I subscribe to this theory, just trying to spit out a brief summary of what has been put out thee by others.

The problem with Bran being the Night King, the three eyed raven said that he would never walk again. But he would fly. And he has flown by warging into the crows. Given that we've seen the night king walking about, that would invalidate what was said.
Plus, we saw the scene where the night king was created.
By that logic, Bran warging Hodor would also have invalidated the 3ER's statement. But we know he walked around as Hodor.
