The moment they introduced the league and the lazarus pools, constantine fit in the universe. It was only a matter of time.
His character is also more of a rebirth, not a direction continuation of the show.

I liked the constantine episode and the character

Man, arrow has really lost it's chris nolan dark knight feel that they were aiming for/achieved in season 1. Too many superheroes, everyone oliver is related to is a superhero now. At this rate his 2nd cousin twice removed will be a superhero whenever they get around to it.
