The front runner wants to steer the story arc into a series finale in season 10. Assuming the CW let's them finish it.

The series was supposed to end with Sam in the pit and Dean no longer hunting but happy with his new family. That was always the plan, donno what happened, guess they were happy that it got such a big following as they didn't even expect it to last 5 seasons.

i've read somewhere that they are going for a 10 season show.
Personally, i hope they do that or even longer, since it is the best show i've ever seen.

this truly is one of the best shows on tv.. supernatural,smallville & Lost are my top 3 shows

Well, sounds reasonable.. As long as they don't do 20 seasons...
However, its a good series.. My favorite, I can't complain really.
