Yes it is its just not an alien story so it does not wear the title alien... all that happens between prometheus n covenant is explained n showed there's only 10 years separating them

A direct sequel would follow Shaw on her mission. This is a soft reboot. It spent a bit of time closing out the Prometheus lose ends so it could focus on its own story.

I saw today and imo it was pretty good. That android is the best.
