Not surprised.

I liked Rogue One but I can't believe how many people say they liked it a lot more than Episode 7. Also, I can't believe how many people hate on Episode 7. I swear people hate on things just to fit in with this new Internet culture of hating everything popular.

Episode 7 was slightly cheesy/light hearted like star wars is supposed to be but that doesn't sit well with the emo hipsters.
This one was truly made to please the masses.
Yep you hipsters are now the majority making it all super ironic B)

Now I'm sort of trolling lol, but it is if you believe every word?

The most common reason why people "dislike" 7 is the extreme similarities between it and 4: a new hope. It's a legiment argument, they played it safe. Though, I still enjoyed 7 regardless.

I don't think the continuation of building Death Stars or star killers is far-fetched in any way. It's an ultimate weapon, and it would be silly for an opposing price, seeking power in the galaxy to stop building them.

People saying they are the same movie need to go watch 4 again because they are either retarded or a hipster faggot. This isn't directed at you so don't take offense.

There are similarities but the movies are nowhere near the same movie. I could rattle off thousands of huge differences in the plot, characters, etc but I don't wanna waste my time. I thought it was clever to make subtle nods to the first movie that started one of the most popular franchises in the world.

The similarities, to me, all make sense within the Star Wars universe.

No.

It's disliked because they pushed a political agenda . Overpowered female lead, black male love interest who looks dumb and can't do anything the girl can, let's also add in the subtle gay relationship between Poe and black. Luke was a weak naive boy, Rey was fucking Jesus.

Luke destroyed the Death Star basically with his fucking eyes closed.

The fuck did Rey do that could possibly top that?

If Rey was a guy you wouldn't have cared. Since she's a girl it's a big deal.

Star Wars has always been political.

You have no knowledge on 8 and 9, so more information about the characters will be released.

Until then, stop being so mad about film diversity. You're the problem.

Luke was a fucking momma's boy being a normal teenager when we met him. Rey had looked after herself for years so made sense that she was more badass to start with. Didn't think she was Jesus personally wise seems to have flaws like the rest.

She fights (can't remember his name lol twat sith kid)though, luke was still a noob with a lightsaber a whole film later

Kylo Ren is no Vader though, yet. Which is why she was able to hold her own as a force user. He was severely injured by the cross bow (the bow was used lots throughout the film specifically to show the audience how powerful it is. He took a direct hit to the hip and carried on fighting).

Kylo Ren was retrieved at the end of the film for "the next step of his training" - so just to reiterate, he was crippled and isn't that powerful, she's a force user who's had to protect herself all her life (self combat trained) and held her own - didn't totally slap him.
