Honestly I just expected it to try to ride off on the success of breaking bad. I thought it was just going to be a bunch of brba references and shit like that. It's really turning in to its own shown. I'm enjoying it a lot.

I like it so far, great show.

This is how I feel so far. However Breaking Bad started slow for me, too, so I'll give this the benefit of the doubt until the end of season 1.

I like the show, but since I already watched Breaking bad, you kinda know how things are gonna turn out. No main character that appears in breaking bad will die in the show, but so far the story is interesting enough for me to ignore that small detail.

I've only watched the first couple episodes of Saul. Does it pick up the pace any? Was relatively slow imo.

I thought this episode was excellent! Great acting by Banks, really. This one setting the bar high, imo! Loved getting Mike's backstory, delivered well too.

Mike's story is really good and makes for a great show. Although i did the find the way they jumped around between time periods a little confusing this episode.

He had the bullet wound just after the train ride, then talked to his daughter-in-law, then went to the vet to get the wound taken care of. But supposedly he was returning back to Philly after having been in New Mexico for awhile at that point right? So why would the wound still be fresh? Did his night out with the cops take place after the train ride but before the conversation with her that took place in the opening scene?

There's definitely some piece of information I am missing in order to place all his conversations with her on the timeline.

3 months after his son died, he goes to bar kills the bad cops

day after goes to new mexico
gets picked up by daughter in law talks to her with maxipad on his shoulder
leaves in a taxi, taxi takes him to vet, gets stitched up
he gets picked up by philly detectives later on, calls saul
then admits everything to daughter in law in last scene

the episode just jumbled these scenes around
