I doubt we're gonna see reverse flash this season since I'm very sure it's suppose to be eddy thawne and at the pace it's going I don't think eddy will turn any time soon
Though it doesn't match the comic eddy thawnes origin story, they can't deviate THAT much

He is a villain. He said "he's not a villain you get to see very often" meaning that he doesn't get much time on the page, but it's an interesting character. Don't know how they're going to introduce him into the show, they might water him down because his powers are crazy. Basically grodd has psionic powers, think of mew two on crack with the technological and scientific genius of tony stark.
