In the history of zombies, they have never been carrion eaters. So using that as an example is pointless.
Said carrion eaters generally tend to prefer the flesh of herbivores over carnivores, but will eat their carcasses in the event of starvation.

Dead flesh holds no sustenence to an animated creature. Theorizing that they required live flesh to sustain their own motor functions.

Same reason why vampires go after live victims and not dead.
Dead blood has no sustenence.

Mosquitos hunt by body heat, lactic acid and carbon dioxide. That's why they don't feed on dead bodies.
In theory, zombies hunt by smell and sound, attracted to the smell and heat of a live body. Which zombies do not possess.

Find a better example.

Ouch lol, you sat that argument down very well if you don't mind me saying so sir. Have the zombies been proven to have sight at all in this series? I've seen zombie movies where the zombies are blind and hunt with a heightened sense of smell and hearing. Zombies smell dead so they always smell there own rotting flesh.Another zombie would smell like them so they simply couldn't really tell anything was there. Same goes for hearing.
