Holy fuck that episode was insane

It was kind of obvious viserys was going to choose to marry Alicent, I wish it was made less obvious (or at least if viserys mentioned why he chose her) but intriguing nonetheless. Really reeks of Rob Stark levels of stupidity though. Like, why even have a counsel, and ask for their advice if you’re just going to ignore it?

The scene at dragon stone was awesome, Rhaenyra definitely gives off the bad ass Daenerys vibes…. And the early peak at the crab feeder looks good too. I wish there were a few more plot lines to this show, like GoT had, but still loving it so far. I think Daemon is pretty likeable / respectable villain… i dont know how the story unfolds but I can see him becoming a bit of an anti-hero throughout this series. Otto Hightower and Corlis Velaryon kind of irk me though… not really looking forward to the present/future tense of the characters though. Alicent and Rhaenyra are cute at this stage, and their present day actresses are not as much imo.

Fuck I just got caught in HOTD rabbit hole of googling the different dragons in the series and managed to spoil some of the upcoming stuff of the dragon riders etc for myself

Hopefully the writing isn’t EXACTLY like the books, because you Gotta be careful what you google. It’s all there to see.

I was not impressed with the second episode

it's like a watered down GoT with fewer storylines and dumber characters, but they think the spectacle of some dragon bs is going to make people happy. when I put it like that I guess it's exactly like the later seasons of GoT, but without the goodwill built up with good seasons. yikes

I think the women characters in this series are all really interesting, as well as Daemon. But Viserys, Otto and Corlis are all omega cringe imo.

I think the dragons will add to the story line on this show, unlike GoT. We are about to see more dragons introduced, as well as new dragon riders. Characters you didn’t think would be dragonriders.

I thought the second episode was pretty good. I enjoyed it a good bit more than the first episode. I think people forget how slow some of the early episodes of GoT were. Daemon flexing with his dragon, then Rhaenyra showing up was cool. However it sort of seems like some of the other characters, idk, they don’t shine as well. Perhaps it’s meant to be that way for now though.

Daemon is going to be a clear fan favorite. It is still too early to judge. My favorite character from GoT was Jaime and he really didn't get interesting until after season 1.

I personally always thought Jamie was one of the least interesting out of the main characters

I always liked Robb, even though he was a dumbass king.
