Vader at least had a strong, feared presence. Snoke sat in a chair for two movies, for all we know.

Leia’s death would have been great during that scene, apparently......they had different ideas.

Obviously that was fucking stupid. They probably should have just killed her off there considering she is dead and can't do another movie. Aside from the sheer stupidity of it, it still would be feasible for her character. I mean she is force sensitive.

There should not be ANY support for Snoke’s death. It’s like they didn’t even know what to do with his character, so they just axed him. It’s horrible plot writing.

Pretty sure Vader force chokes a bunch of dudes, kills obi wan, chops off Luke's Hand, nearly killing him, tortures and imprisons solo within the same span Kylo has had in which he kills Han but other than that did nothing worthy of striking fear into anyone. Vader is feared while Kylo is laughed at by many, especially during his stupid temper tantrums specifically in TFA

You are so ignorant at times. You agree you put words in my mouth and then argued against those words that you fabricated. What's the fucking point? Also Snoke doesn't matter. He is a mcguffin, not a real character. Why aren't you pissed the Asian bomber lady at the start died without having her character expanded on? She had more impact on the fucking movie than snoke did.

Is it lame he died? Yeah a bit. However that is only because fans have been speculating for two years about who he is. You can't blame the movie for the fans overreaction, over hyping and over theorizing.

I'll agree that how they dealt with Snoke leaves a little to be desired, and that Leia Force-pulling herself through space was just ridiculous, but overall, I like the direction they're taking.

IMO, the most important line in the whole film was one delivered by Yoda, where he told Luke that failure is the best teacher (don't remember the exact line, but that was the gist of it). Luke has learned a lot of failure over the years, and it becomes pretty apparent that he couldn't make himself pass that on ("Pass on what you have learned"). This CHANGED Luke in a very material way. A way which I believe led him to decide to 'ignite that spark', so to speak. It's a spark that will ignite a sea change in how the Force is used (we saw a tiny sliver of that near the end, with the children).

In all honesty, this 'spark ignition' totally reminds me of a completely different nerd-realm: Buffy the Vampire Slayer. For those who don't know/didn't watch Buffy, in the finale of the show, Willow (the character played by Alyson Hannigan) takes the essence of the slayer out of a mystical scythe, and sends that power into the world, so that any girl who had the potential to be a slayer, would be a slayer. No more 'chosen one'. This is a completely new path for the Force, one which shows a Gray Jedi, rather than the stark 'White Jedi/Black Sith' contrast.

1. Snoke SHOULD have been a "real" character. That's the point. Fans can COMPLETELY blame the movie for not creating a better story. It's not an overreacting, it's about good story telling and they fucking blew it.......

2. I am pissed about Rose, I believe i already stated that in this or the other thread. It was a great opportunity to let Finn die. HOWEVER, that doesn't pair well with the tone of the movie, especially opening fighting sequence.


Let me repeat. I really like star wars, i liked the movie, but it had many flaws. I am eager to see how they wrap up this trilogy.......not much is really going on. The rebellion is small, the first order is also dwindling with poor leadership, and none of the rest of the galaxy seems to care
