I feel the same. Nolan series wasn't "flawless", but it was amazing. Begins/Dark Knight were both just amazing, but Nolan fucked up. He followed the same stupid fucking formula that all superhero movies do, and felt like he needed to go BIGGER and have more KRAPLOW BOOM BRAHHHH in his conclusion, and it didn't need that shit. Also, Batman's voice by the third one was just fucking stupid lol. I still loved all three movies, but Rises was a disappointment for the ending. Could have been better, but still the best superhero trilogy, and the onyl trilogy that didn't go to complete fucking shit with the third movie, like EVERY other trilogy has.
X-Men original trilogy - 1/2 were both phenomenal, and then 3 was pure fucking ass
X-Men first class trilogy - 1/2 were both phenomenal, and then apocalypse was pure fucking ass
Iron-Man - #1 was good, 2/3 were both pure fucking ass
Spider-Man - 1/2 were both pretty good, and then 3 was pure fucking ass
Avengers 1/2 were both bad
People will probably say Thor 1-3 were all good, but 1/2 were both pretty fucking bad, and the third one seems to be the best, but it's just a bunch of terrible jokes and horrible storytelling.
Am I missing anything?
ur just missing the captain americas i guess. i hear theyre good but i couldn't make it 30minutes past the first one. maybe ill just try winter soldier without seeing the first.
yeah im aware the nolan trilogy had flaws but these marvel shits, its like they grab whatever sitcom writers they can find that have 15minutes to spare pump out some dumb lines then have 2 action scenes.
every villain in the nolan trilogy got its proper spotlight and some dramatic ass lines that make ur gooses bumpy. while i agree the 3rd one was the weakest of the three i love how the movie opens up similary to TDK in the sense that it introduces the villain. no one cares about the hero. we all know who iron man, batman, Xman and whatnot are.
i have not checked out any of the xmen movies since last stand with the exception of Logan because it was too hyped and well reviewed for me to pass on it.
i really don't know how the business works but id guess nolan had a lot more control over his movies compared to those who've directed marvel movies. marvel execs don't give a shit about your creative input they just want to see more money coming in than going out.
