This movie is basically targeted to pc gamers, and most pc gamers I know would watch this movie illegally online rather than pay to see it.

I would think it flops and they earn less than anticipated

1st two hobbits were excellent. Near as good as any lotr

maybe you're unfamiliar with source material being a children's book... part of the reason the hobbit films take such a rap in contrast to lotrs. lotrs were obviously written with more mature audiences in mind

the character development of bilbo was exceptionally portrayed. the 3rd movie was the only non classic for me

yea i dont get it lol, its like trying to say that guns n roses tried to be like nirvana or something......

warcraft 3 is when i quit playing the series myself, WC2 is cemented as a legendary game though imo. id love a re-release of that available on modern systems.
maybe im completely off, but it seems like thats when this movie is picking up from? like wc1 and wc2 era?

i wouldnt call wc3 a flop but lets be honest custom games are the reason why the game was even close to good.
sc was way better as a stand alone and it gave birth to custom games. at least in the blizzard universe.
