Only episodes I liked were the ones with the General and the clones over ruling him

I personally didn't bother with them because I read the summarized versions. Couldn't be bothered with whole series, but I think it's cool that they brought back Maul because he shouldn't have died in the first place, at least not in EP1.

The clone wars was a pretty damn good show. Anakin in the show is he should have been in the movies. But I will say I only started watching the show because I needed a cartoon to watch with my kid and I had assumed at first it was just a kid show.

Takes BioWare 6 minutes to establish a better bad guy then the 2 hours and 15 minutes Abrams had to work with.

Kylo Ren was a very well done character.

Canonically Darth Maul is not dead so...

Canonically all we actually know is that darth maul is alive at the end of the clone wars.

It's implied that Ren trained with Luke as a child and then shortly after went and trained with Snoke. To me that shows he's had a lot of training.

However, I see where stupid is coming from in the fact that we really don't know how much training he has or if snoke is even a force wielder.

I do believe Snoke is Darth Plagueis however and not sure if that will revealed in the next movie or the last (if he is Plagueis)

I thought they made it clear the First Order is not related to any Sith Lords. They actually basically say it at one point lol. I think he is a completely new character who has nothing to do with any of the mediocre prequels.

I think you'll be happily proven wrong in the next two , but that's a debate for 2-4 years from now.

It's my theory he is Plageuis.

Plagueis spent his entire life trying to become immortal. It's also implied he is the one who implanted Anakin's mom using the force. It would be cool to the see the whole trilogy come full circle with the "father" of anakin being the true big bad.

Here is what plagueis looks like. Snoke looks somewhat close to this guy, and remember it's been years and immortality could come at a cost like his decaying face.

I think you are going a little too far down the rabbit hole bro.

I'm not saying he definitely isn't but I would be very surprised if he was.

It isn't really that far down... Sidious has a whole conversation with anakin about his former master and it's what convinced him to turn

They made it kind of obvious they prefer the original trilogy over the prequels. Hence all the nods to it and very few if any to the prequels (I can't recall any).

I think they wanted a new fresh bad guy who isn't in any of the Star Wars cinematics. Kind of like how Rey, Finn, Poe, and Kylo are all original. Making him be Plaguis would be a horrible idea imo. It would create way too many plot holes.
