I'm not so thrilled about the more recent eps. it feels like they're ruining it by trying to make it less predictable / more dramatic.

Wow, I can't believe one of his most trusted ppl backstabbed him. Shame he didn't have faith to ask aid from Red when it all began.
great example. considering how powerful/intelligent red is, i can't understand how that played out. suppose he wasn't loyal. then he either should have killed Red immediately or else waited till after the kidnapping, then kill Red before Red finds out and kills him.
or instead, suppose he is loyal but he had a moment of weakness for his family. after Red survived, he should confess and use his good will to save his family and pretend his death was accidental, or even commit suicide after the confession. instead he waited until Red found out from a third party, which kills any good will he saved up.
i dont like the story of him trying to hide it from Red, even though he knows Red will likely find out.

It's a shame the asian woman had to die. Didn't have a major role but hot damn.
i didnt like the whole story line. the writers deliberately waited to reveal white girl (can't remember her name) as a hostage until the others were killed for dramatic effect to show Red's strong feelings towards her. imo they should have introduced her sooner so that red could pretend to care about the black/asian and hide his feelings about the girl, then have a private conversation between red and the asian where she tells him he only saved them to save the white girl, he nods as confirmation, and then asian feels betrayed and leave his employ.
