Best ep so far. And sorry about the spoilering. I just got a bit excited, and people have been talking about book stuff in these threads. I just forgot about the show viewers a bit, my apologies :(

Tormund+Mance are still disappointing me, they should be far more jolly and less overtly serious. They're wildlings for God's sake. Stannis wasn't that great either, but Mel made up for it. Carice is doing a better job than I expected this season. No Davos made me sad :(

Astapor scenes were A+, Dany trading her Charizard, "Rhaegar fought valiantly, Rhaegar fought nobly and Rhaegar died.", Dany picking up Missandei (those tits!) and generally being less of a whiny child and more a proper Queen. Tyrion + Bronn is always great and Podrick of house Payne & Pleasure made me laugh really hard. Small council meeting was hilarious, and very telling. Props to all actors and directors.

I'm immensely hyped for the next ep. I really want to know what happens in King's Landing next, and what Mel is doing. The tv show is veering off from the books in a few ways now, so even us book readers get some new material to digest.

Really wondering where they are going with Theon and his "escape". I have a feeling they just needed an excuse to give Alfie Allen some decent screen time to keep him employed, so they invented a longer version of the escape arc.

I'm surprised how much they focused on Hotpie's departure. Honestly they could have just dropped him without saying anything and most TV viewers would probably not even have noticed. Trying to keep him memorable makes me think he plays a larger role later on in the story.

I was really impressed how they included Edmure missing Hoster's boat with the flaming arrows. They could have left out this seemingly innocuous detail, but it served as a strong introduction for him and Blackfish. I was also impressed with them making a point to include two versions of "The Bear and the Maiden Fair". Most viewers will probably not connect it with the Brienne scene later on, but it's great for the book readers who will. Looking forward to hearing Rains of Castemere.

they did a great job with Jaime this season so far. I hated him season 1 but now I kinda like him and was cheering for him to break free.

Ramsay is turning him into Reek.

Obviously, I'm just saying the "escape" arc is a lot longer than what Reek says in the books. Even though Ramsay is the most psychopathic character in the series, killing 4 of his own men is extreme measures even for him. That makes me think there is more to this "escape" arc.

People still posting spoilers. Worst discussion thread ever.
Anyways, this season needs to pick it up. I have seen no action.

the first few episodes are always setting the pieces up. although the series never had much action to begin with.

Except the series isn't about action...
