d/d failed hard to re-produce the magic that was Oberyn;

so they pulled the plug out of it and just killed everyone first episode and had the Sand Snakes new ruler of Dorne(makes it even worse when you think that no other house would push for a power struggle LL, bastards, and kinslayers but oh well, y)

Hopefully they never go back there and simply update it from a character perspective '' Oh Dorne has now been engulfed by the sea. They are all dead. ''

I think a lot of fans expected a whole lot of scheming with the siege of Riverrun and Arya(how she willingly was in broad day light, walking around, (as if she was not getting pursued by the Waif/assassins), and she got stabbed 3/4 times, somehow survived that, rolled into sewage water(no infection) and basically happens to be patched up by that actress which has maester like medicine (Milk of the puppy) etc and how Arya story line served her for basically nothing and the FM are clueless

and people complaining about the way that Riverrun ended(another ''death'' with fade to black, same with the Waif) another 2-3minutes of wasted opportunities with Tyrion being awkward with Missandei/Grey Worm, etc

not my complaints, to be honest since s.5 D/D have been more straightforward and less tinfoil theories, I just take the show for what it is and take the books for what they are(one is vastly superior to the other)

still, not to sound like a hater, without nit-picking/comparing the books, since season 5 most of the story lines have made barely if at all any sense for a lot of character story arcs(their actions);

think this has to do with going straight forward to an ending, so there is less substance to the depth of certain characters but oh well

that pretty much sums it up

Don't know why people are complaining tbh. I thought this season has been great so far. Arya fighting that bitch in pitch dark was brilliant. Obviously the only way arya could ever have won.

It made her exceptionally strong mentally and a decent amount stronger physically.
It could play a role to turn her into a bad ass.

Aside from blackfish dying off screen when he should've escaped and arya doing parkour after having a blade twisted in her gut. I enjoyed the episode.
Am disappointed that lem didn't get to do his great lines with lady stoneheart though.

Areo Hotah, Doran Martell, Jon Snow, Robb Stark, Talisa, Robert Baratheon, The Hound and the stable boy Arya killed are envious of her ability to take a good stabbing and avoid infection even after jumping in shit water.

Quickly moving river at the drop off(ish) point is pretty clean, especially if we are talking bucket dumps and not mad piping. Where the water would be extremely bad is a few miles down stream where it calms down and piles up.

Not to mention she got help and what I assumed was a pretty long rest. Her wounds must have healed quite a bit because she didn't start leaving a trail of blood until that stair fall scene, meaning healing, meaning probably days (3/4-8/9) before waif found her.

Also it's a television show set in a fantasy world. So there's that.

i agree with a lot of that .. but ...

Hound/Bronn/Jamie/Edmure/Brienne character development was good in this episode.

Although I disliked the Tyrion joke scene, it can't be said that "nothing happened". The plot did progress in a meaningful way.

Tommen outlawing trial by combat and seeing that Zombie Gregor is essentially indestructible are also new plot developments.

The Arya shit was the only part that had no redeeming qualities.

Tyrion scene with Danerys coming back was stupid. I know this was said already, but it was lame how she just happened to come back at just the right time.

LAME....
