Ok so....
zombie attack in store not an issue.
zombies in barn not an issue.
zombies in the suburbs not an issue.
I said aside from the 2 encounters, meaning the zombies in the suburbs and the attack in the store. And even then, the zombies in the suburbs... they fuckin get attacked and escape with ease, they get back to camp and nothing was made of the zombies in the town, they just shrugged it off. Instead of anything happening due to the zombies in the suburbs, there has been more drama created over Shane having sex and now Dale and Shane are in a feud. I'm not saying that the zombies are completely not contributing to the show, i'm just saying that the zombies have been made more of a side-show to the drama.
But yeah, the store was a little significant to the story, it started more drama between Rick's wife and the Farmers daughter (can't think of their names right now), now Glen is being made to feel unappreciated by the group.

dumb statement.
if you remove the zombies completely.....sophia would've never went missing.
there would be absolutely no drama because people would be all happy and shit with no worries.
shane and lorie wouldn't have had an affair thinking rick was dead.
pointless for me to continue....what point are you trying to make here...?
Most of these are contributions from season 1. The only thing zombies have done in season 2 from your examples is making Sophia get lost. Now we've been stuck at this farm for like 5 episodes. There has been other developments from the zombies in season 2 of course, but all they have done is created more drama for the story to follow.
I'm just awaiting for some big events or turns in the story, a lot like season 1 did. The point I'm trying to make? Season 2 has been slow, drama filled and disappointing thus far, but I will continue to watch in hopes of a big finish
