It was best episode in a while to be honest.

Helicopter showed up.
That long haired guy died finally.
Negan somehow not dead yet again.
Carol finds the kid in like the exact circumstances that her kid disappeared in the same spot Rick left her. In the water by some vines

I agree - first episode in a long time where I was actually invested and fully interested. I think the main reason was the right characters had the majority of the screen time. Morgan, Rick, Carol, Ezekiel (small but great part), Negan.

Morgan - he's probably my favorite character and has been for awhile. His story line is fantastic - his mental breaks, struggle with reality and morality, becoming a mindless killing machine vs. a real human. I will be sad when he fully departs TWD. His killing of the long haired savior was the best thing i've seen in awhile.
Rick - what's to say? Crazy Rick is the best Rick. Him and morgan massacring the saviors was pretty awesome. "There are no pacts between lions and men" His struggle to hold onto Carl's memory and plan for him is a good plot line. Rick on a mission is best rick.
Carol - Also, one of the best characters for a long time. She's walking the same line as Morgan/Rick. Killing machine vs. human being. I was hoping they wouldn't find that kid, but whatever. Point made with the vines/water.
Zeeek - He's a good actor, I'm not sure were he's going to end up in the story but he's interesting when on screen.
Negan - The more they humanize him the better (story with Lucielle). I love when they make him less of a true villian and more of a "Rick" on the other team. Only good thing's will happen when they blur the lines between good and bad for Negan and Rick.

They finally showed that damn helicopter, and made small use of the otherwise pointless trash people story line.

I am really interested in the trash peoole and the helicopter. Her little room was like pristine, helicopter never being heard or seen in the show makes it seem like its rarely used.

Genuinely felt sorry for the one that saved rick and then got betrayed like that. Jared got what was coming to him, but for rick to break his word like that, man.
Glad Carol didn't get a repeat of sophia, she has had enough shit happen to her.
Morgan has almost completely lost it, given that he'll be on fear the walking dead and those previews show him a bit more level headed, I hope they actually provide good reason for his departure and transformation and don't shoehorn it in at the end.
I hope they continue to humanize Negan and keep him around, his comic arcs will be great to see if they don't fuck it up.

I would've preferred they not shown the helicopter yet unless they planned on actually explaining why the heepsters had a helipad in the first place.

Wonder who owns the helicopter. That's about the only interesting story I care about right now

From s1 to current, it's the 3rd of 4th time we're seeing a flying "military" plane. Rick was the one who saw all the previous ones.
