Tara adds nothing to the show would be glad to see her die.

Andrew Lincoln's amazing acting can't carry this show for much longer, I really thought Carl's last words would instigate some sort of change of heart to where we could feasibly see Negan being spared and between those and the visions of bearded Rick I figured we might get something close to comic book Rick, I mean as a parent you have to take your dying child's words to heart... but it looks like he's only more determined to kill Negan...

That's normal per the stages of greif. I think that this is the way the show will go (save Negan - put him in prision, something along these lines).

but who knows. they could just kill him in a bloody gun fight, or have rick turn him into a pet zombie.

Don't really care ATM.

The way the show is going, wouldn't surprise me whatsoever if they decided to kill off Negan.

Tara annoys me to no end. She's the worst fucking character on the show that gets regular air time.

the conversations between Negan and Rick while Negan was behind bars were some of my favorite scenes in the comic tbh, I know they won't be nearly as good if they have them on the show but I'd still like to see some approximation of them, a situation where Rick goes to Negan of all people for advice.

Would be quite sad to see Negan simply killed off like just another villain, this arc has a lot of slog as the show often does nowadays but it's done a good job of making you question just who is the 'good guy' in this whole conflict and I enjoy a villain you can really root for, like Magneto from x-men: first class for example. However, it looks to me like this is going to end similarly to how it did with The Governor...

i agree to your last point 100%. The show would be much better off and interesting to have Negan involved in some capacity. He's the best villain we've had (IMO, ofc) in the series and he does make you question who is good & who is bad.

We'll see though, i imagine they'll kill him off because it's easier/cheaper. Probably too expensive for them to keep JDM on retainer for a few episodes of prison talk.

Default for Negan: subject everyone by taking at least 1 life

Default for Rick: don't fuck with us and we either leave you alone or we can cooperate.

I'd say that i'd rather live next to Rick then next to Negan.

Everything Rick touches turns to fire.

Farm
Prision
Governors' People
Sanctuary
Kingdom/Hilltop
Garbage Trash
Seaside Resort Women

I would rather live next to Rick, too. However, he's got a knack for fucking shit up and getting people killed.

Farm - overrun
Prision - governor shoots it to pieces
Governors' People - where 2 fight, usually 2 are to blame
Sanctuary - they were subjugated and left with unreasonable situations, destroyed by negan
Kingdom/Hilltop - same
Garbage Trash - destroyed by negan
Seaside Resort Women - destroyed by negan

I would rather live next to Rick, too. However, he's got a knack for fucking shit up and getting people killed. - he takes risks and they don't always turn out perfectly, he's not bent on exterminating communities like negan and his men

the new doctor that arrived at hilltop: that could be me or you, all those folks from the governor's town, that joined rick's people, could be me or you, etc. etc. etc. With negan, you're either a slave or you're dead. No other options, he will even actively prevent you from moving out of his neighbourhood.

If I didn't know I was part of a story plot and there was a Rick's Gang that had to succeed in killing me (because they're such good guys right?), I would be Negan 100%. His system isn't an eden by any stretch however it's far from full-on warhammer 40k fanatical purifier levels of fascism, and while times may not be as tough as they are in that universe... they are pretty tough, and a degree of collectivism would be necessary for survival given the circumstances, especially if you don't want to end up like Rick's group and having everything constantly burst into flames like djman72 points out.

There's a big difference between slavery and being a protectorate. I also wouldn't consider the situations the saviors themselves are in to even be an approximation of slavery. It's not complete liberty, but can you honestly expect a liberal paradise to exist in this world? Everyone has to do their part in every group, Ricks is no exception. Everyone also has their own interests and in both groups they are free to pursue them as long as that thing doesn't run counter to the good of that group and their way of life. Rick has shown he's capable of putting down usurpers in the past, Shane and Pete for example, what makes Negan such a bad guy in comparison? The fact that he uses a baseball bat instead of a gun?
