Simon wanted her to feel remorse, so he intentionally wanted her to live while slaughtering the rest of her people.

That might be true, but I don't see how you reach that conclusion based on what the we saw.

#1- Her remorse is only meaningful as part of the Saviors' subjugation technique. Killing them all throws that out the window. Any remorse she may have felt is now useless. Leaving her alive could potentially cause problems for Simon. She might come looking for revenge. She might leak the truth of what happened to the other Saviors.

#2- We saw Simon tell his men to "light em up". He didn't move her out of the line of fire. Assuming his men started firing when we saw, she would have been once of the first ones hit. Simon would have had to tell his men to stop, pull her away, and then let them continue. It seems odd that a key moment like that would have been excluded from the show.

Re #2 Simon was standing in front of her so he would have been shot too?Lol

I think it is just as simple as Simon wanting her to feel remorse for her decision. As a form of punishment and because he didn’t give a shit about them in the first place.

The show would jump 3 sharks if Carl's wish for Rick and Negan to live happily ever after comes true.

I gave up on this ship wreck 3 seasons back. It's like survival minus zombies. So much promise and then they just stuck it on repeat. Then....then...they killed Carl. I mean his character annoyed me but cmon...Have a little loyalty to the comics...or writing integrity for that matter.

no reason left to watch this trash anymore

especially when you can watch the real life walking dead every day:

I think they're setting the show up to end it.

Episodes are nearly all filler. It's just like season 3 with the govonator. We're going to war, we're talking about going to war, and then we'll let you know about the war.

They need to wrap it up quickly. it's stale.

Going by the comics, the best part hasn't even started yet. I'm sure they'll find a way to screw the TV adaptation up, though.

I'm not saying they need to always stick to the comics because I'm sure some originality goes a long way but the writing just seems way too dense since about season 5
