just kicked off

Why is Morgan in the intro again? I thought that argument about what the Hilltop was going to do with the prisoners prompted him to quit the club and storm off into a role in Fear the Walking Dead? what did I forget?

Even though I think Carl dying is lame ... I just thought of another reason why they might do it: Maybe Riggs just isn't growing into the role. Kirkman said that TWD is really "Carl's Story". But for the show to follow the same path, they would need a real lead actor to carry the show. Someone who looks the part. AMC had to cast Carl without knowing how his appearance and acting talent would evolve as he got older. Kirkman doesn't have this same problem with the comics: he can draw Carl however he wants.

If Gimple is convinced that Riggs won't be able to be the Carl they need, it's actually smart to cut the cord sooner rather than later. The longer things evolved (ESPECIALLY between him and Negan) the harder it would get to deviate from the comics.

Good episode, that Morgan part ripping out the organs was brutal.

Honestly, didn't really care that Carl died. Probably the most annoying character.

worst part: morgan, carol, ezekiel all standing around yet the kid manages to sneak up behind the Savior Guy without any of them seeing. So unrealistic. They could have at least had the kid sneak out from behind a wall, not be standing directly behind

I miss the way this show was back in season 1-2. It's just been very up and down since then.

I'm glad they wrapped up the Carl thing quick. I hated his character, but i don't think they should have axed him. Not really sure what they'll do from here.

The Morgan/carol assassin squad was pretty cool. I agree with the above post that the kid stabbing the guy while the 3 of them stand by arguing by surprise was stupid. Would have made more sense to have the kid accidentally alert the saviors because he doesn't know how to sneak properly, or that he was a zombie or dying from Z's when they are leaving.

Okay episode. Seen worse.

If sticks could penetrate bodies so reliably, we'd never had the need to develop sharper weaponry made from bronze, iron and then steel. It bugged me to no end, that at the end of the whole thing, a kid, from a lower position, with no particular upper body strength to speak of (men develop theirs during and after puberty), pierced through a body without effort to speak of... So damn unrealistic. At least with the penetrating of zombie skulls one can make the argument that being dead + virus weakening the bone etc.
